We partnered with Harvey AI to craft a brand and website that propelled them from seed stage to a $1.5 billion valuation (and counting), supporting their mission to transform the legal industry with AI.

When we first crossed paths with Harvey AI in late 2022, they were a seed-stage startup with a bold vision: to reshape the legal industry using the most powerful AI platform ever built for law. Harvey was on the brink of something big, but they needed a brand identity and a digital presence that could match their groundbreaking ambitions.

The Challenge

Gabriel Pereyra and Winston Weinberg, the masterminds behind Harvey, were moving at lightning speed. Gabriel, with his AI chops honed at Google Brain and Meta, and Winston, a seasoned attorney, were already making their mark. However, they needed a cohesive brand identity and a compelling web presence to support their traction and fundraising efforts. That’s where we came in.

We enjoy tackling the challenges that push others to their limits. We dove headfirst into Harvey's world, crafting a lean yet scalable brand system in record time. It wasn't just about making something that looked good—it was about creating a brand that could grow with them, adapting to the demands of a rapidly evolving market.

We then turned our focus to their digital front door: the website. In true basement style, we delivered a small website that didn’t just look sharp—it became a powerful tool in their fundraising arsenal, setting the stage for their next big leap.

As Harvey continued to scale, so did our support. We worked closely with their product team, ensuring that the brand's aesthetic was seamlessly integrated into their core product, resulting in a consistent, cohesive experience across the board.

Sustaining Growth

Our partnership didn’t stop there. From micro-animations to product demo videos, we supported Harvey’s day-to-day marketing design needs, helping them maintain their momentum and stay ahead of the competition. Today, Harvey is more than just a startup—they’re a trusted name in legal tech, leading the charge with a secure generative AI platform that’s become indispensable to law firms, in-house teams, and financial professionals.

The Outcome

In just two years of working with basement, Harvey's growth has been exceptionally rapid. From a $5 million seed round in November 2022 to a $21 million Series A in April 2023, and by June 2024, they closed a $100 million at a valuation of $1.5 billion. Their revenue surged over 10x, and they’ve secured backing from some of the biggest names in venture capital, including Elad Gil, Kleiner Perkins, OpenAI, and Sequoia.

To cap it all off, we recently launched their brand new website, featuring a complete design system refresh to resonate with their growing audience. It’s a fitting milestone in a partnership that’s been all about growth, innovation, and pushing boundaries.
